OPI: Semeval-2014 Task 3 System Description
In this paper, we describe the OPI system participating in the Semeval-2014 task 3 Cross-Level Semantic Similarity. Our approach is knowledge-poor, there is no exploitation of any structured knowledge resources as Wikipedia, WordNet or BabelNet. The method is also fully unsupervised, the training set is only used in order to tune the system. System measures the semantic similarity of texts usin...
متن کاملGenomic analysis of the Opi- phenotype.
Most of the phospholipid biosynthetic genes of Saccharomyces cerevisiae are coordinately regulated in response to inositol and choline. Inositol affects the intracellular levels of phosphatidic acid (PA). Opi1p is a repressor of the phospholipid biosynthetic genes and specifically binds PA in the endoplasmic reticulum. In the presence of inositol, PA levels decrease, releasing Opi1p into the nu...
متن کاملOPI NION Highlights on HIV eradication in 2013
Virological remarks for HIV cure and eradication Latently HIV-1-infected cells are rare (especially in peripheral blood), but undistinguishable from uninfected cells, thus making their clearance extremely demanding. In addition, despite several efforts, a real consensus on mechanisms by which persistent HIV-1 reservoirs are established and maintained is still lacking, thus explaining why strate...
متن کاملElicited Imitation for Prediction of OPI Test Scores
Automated testing of spoken language is the subject of much current research. Elicited Imitation (EI), or sentence repetition, is well suited for automated scoring, but does not directly test a broad range of speech communication skills. An Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) tests a broad range of skills, but is not as well suited for automated scoring. Some have suggested that EI can be used as ...
متن کاملSaccharomyces cerevisiae Essential Genes with an Opi− Phenotype
The overproduction and secretion of inositol (i.e., Opi(-)) phenotype is associated with defects in regulation of phospholipid biosynthesis in yeast. Here we report a screen of the essential yeast gene set using a conditional-expression library. This screen identified novel functions previously unknown to affect phospholipid synthesis.
